Matt Varnish 1360

For supplementary coating of offset inks if matt effects should be achieved.

In favour of the velvety matt effect, sliding properties and rub resistance of dried prints are slightly lower.

 

Properties:

Drying: absorbing and oxidative
Piling property: good
Tack: normal, wet in wet applicable
Matt effect: very good
Blocking resistance: above 80 °C
Rub resistance: limited
Own colouration: low
Tendency for yellowing: low
Viskosity: ca. 5 Pa.s/20 °C
Application: wet in wet and wet on dry
Suitable for: glänzend gestr. Papiere und Kartons


Can be applied on full surface (without water) or for spot varnishing. Normal drying time; by adding 2 % dryer 452 or 5 % EPPO Drier 2001 for spot varnishing with water, drying can be accelerated.

Application

Can be printed on all offset inks. Pile height and powder application must be in relation to the coating film thickness and the printing substrate.

  • Printing gel 348
