Effect Varnish 1579

This kind of varnish was especially deveopled to achieve matt/gloss effects in combination with Starbrite Inks.

Especially recommended for print products with very little ink coverage respectively for matte/brilliant-effects on the blank areas.

Effect varnish 1579 can be used like conventional printing varnish in the printing unit.

The printing areas that shall appear matt on the printed product will be overprinted with effect varnish 1579, the UV-varnish will be printed inline immediately afterwards and then both layers can harden.

Depending on the quantity of effect varnish that is used, the matt-effect turns out stronger or weaker.

In connection with dispersion varnishes (drip-off) regarding perfecting printing jobs, aeration of the stack is necessary about 30 minutes after the first pass as well as after the second pass. Otherwise there is a risk of blocking in the pile.

Effect varnish 1579 will not dry immediately after the printing even though it is UV-varnished. Therefore the pile height depends on the quantity of varnish that is used and the printing substrate.
