Effect Varnish 1578 matt

This type of varnish was especially developed to achieve matt/brilliant effects in combination with dispersion varnish.

Effect varnish 1578 can be used like a conventional printing varnish in the printing unit.

The printing areas that shall appear matt on the printed product will be overprinted with effect varnish 1578. The dispersion varnish will be applied inline afterwards on the full surface.

Effect varnish 1578 will not dry immediately after the printing even though it is dispersion varnished. Therefore the pile height depends on the quantity of varnish that is used and the printing substrate.

In case of perfecting printing an aeration of the pile is necessary, approx. 30 minutes after the first pass, also after the second pass. Otherwise there is a risk of blocking in the pile.
