PANTONE® UV-INKS

Since 1963 the PANTONE® Matching System has developed to the standard in terms of colour communication.

The colour guides are available as PANTONE® Formula Guide C for coated and PANTONE® Formula Guide U for uncoated material. Despite identical recipes in both guides, it was not observed whether the colour shades can optically be evaluated as identical.

Concerning the arrangement of colours, pure ink mixings are in the middle of the guide. Further up the shades are brightened with transparent white, further down black ink is added – therefore darkened.

The Pantone® Formula Guide ink mixing system consists of 13 basic inks, black and transparent white.

UV curing Pantone inks which stand out for their excellent printing quality, good gloss and fast thorough curing.

Special properties:

  • Very fast thorough curing
  • Excellent ink/water stability
  • Good running clean
  • Good gloss

Normally UV-inks can be printed out of the tin without any further additives. If corrections are necessary, reducer or transparent white are sufficient.

The reducer modifies tack and the viscosity.

Transparent white leads to a brightening of the ink; the viscosity will not be affected.

UV-inks have a limited shelf life. In case of appropriate storage at 20° and protected from direct sunlight, we guarantee a shelf life of 6 months.

Additives:

  • Reducer 803
