Starbrite Inks

Starbrite Inks combine the properties of conventional offset inks with those of UV inks. This kind of ink has been developed in order to reduce the well-known problems of the wet in wet UV varnishing on conventional offset inks.

The problems of the wet in wet varnishing of conventional offset inks with UV varnish first of all is caused by the fact that the two binding agent systems, after the use of fountain solution which is absolutely necessary in offset printing, are incompatible in the overprinting of large surfaces.

The combination of the properties of both binding agent systems in one printing ink leads to a better reception using inline varnishing with UV varnish. The application can be made in the same way as with conventional offset printing inks.

The inks are supplied ready for printing in the colour sequence Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow.

In order to ensure optimal varnishing the Starbrite series has been developed without any rub resistance. The Starbrite series is only designed for absorbing substrates. Before using non-absorbing substrates, a test should be made.
