SDV Black 51336
A black meeting all requests for print finishing.
In general for:
- Foil lamination
- UV-Varnishing*
- Calendering
- Spirit varnishing
the printing ink must meet the following guidelines:
- Solvent- and alkaline fastness according to DIN 16524
- Free of any rub pastes, wax and silicon
- Duct- and roller fresh inks are not suitable, as due to slower drying an adhesion or release of the ink could appear.
Fastness properties:
| Item no. | Light | Spirit | Nitro | Alkali | absorb. | oxidative | duct fresh |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 51336 | 8 | + | + | + | + | + | no |
For dispersion varnishing a solvent and alkaline resistance according to DIN 16524 is sufficient.
This black is, however, only appropriated for printed matters which are print finished afterwards as the rub resistance is insufficient due to the absence of lubricants.
* For UV varnishing we recommend the application of a primer. The primer should be adjusted to the UV varnish.
This technical instruction sheet is designed for your information and reference. It is based on and conforms to our current knowledge. However as actual application is affected by many factors over which we have no control, we are not liable for printing failures.
